Terms and Conditions for Hotel Fortunen
These terms and conditions apply to all room reservations and stays at Hotel Fortunen, Ved Fortunen 33, 2800 Kgs. Lyngby. The terms are mutually binding for the hotel and the guest once a booking is confirmed.

1. Booking and Payment
  • Guarantee: All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit or debit card (e.g., Dankort, Visa, MasterCard) at the time of booking.
  • Payment: Settlement for the stay takes place either in advance via online booking or directly upon arrival at the hotel.
  • Currency: All prices are stated in DKK (Danish Kroner) and include 25% VAT.

2. Cancellation and Changes
  • Right of Withdrawal: In accordance with Danish consumer legislation, there is no 14-day right of withdrawal on hotel accommodation.
  • Standard Cancellation: Cancellation or modification of a reservation must be made in writing via email to booking@fortunen.nu no later than 3 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
  • Late Cancellation / No-Show: If a cancellation is made later than 3 days before arrival, or if the guest fails to arrive (no-show), the full amount for the first night will be charged to the associated payment card.
  • Special Packages: Prepaid stays, event bookings, or special promotions may be subject to stricter cancellation policies, which will be stated directly on your booking confirmation.

3. Check-in and Check-out
  • Check-in: The room is available from 14:00 (2:00 PM) on the day of arrival. For expected arrivals after 16:00 (4:00 PM), guests are kindly requested to contact the hotel in advance to arrange key collection.
  • Check-out: The room must be vacated no later than 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

4. House Rules and Liability
  • Smoking: Hotel Fortunen is strictly non-smoking indoors. Smoking in rooms or indoor common areas will incur a cleaning fee of DKK 3,500.
  • Pets: Pets are generally not allowed in the hotel rooms out of consideration for guests with allergies.
  • Damages: The guest is fully liable for any damage caused to the hotel's inventory, buildings, or premises during the stay.

5. Force Majeure
  • The hotel cannot be held responsible for failure to fulfill the agreement if this is due to external circumstances beyond the hotel's control (e.g., natural disasters, war, strikes, government regulations, or extreme weather conditions).
